Mr. W.B. Hulme, a former Mayor of Worcester, was a solicitor who first practised law in the city in 1842. Subsequently he formed the firm of Hulme & Parry, which was instrumental in founding the Worcester Chamber of Commerce. Indeed early meetings of the Chamber were held at the firm's offices. The present firm is the result of a merger between Hulme & Parry and Huzzey & Davies, another long-established firm. As the telephonist found Hulme, Parry, Huzzey and Davies something of a mouthful, the name was shortened to Hulme & Co.

The firm has always had strong links with the local agricultural community and we remain Honorary Solicitors to the Worcester branch of the National Farmers Union. Throughout its history of more than 150 years, the firm has built upon its tradition of providing a quality, efficient and friendly service to clients, both individuals and companies. Our principal staff and department heads are as follows

Roger Morris LL.B - admitted as a solicitor in April 1970 and our senior Partner. Roger heads our Probate and Trusts Department.

Richard Herriman LL.B - admitted as a solicitor in June 1972. Richard heads our Conveyancing and Property Department.

Tim Sherwood LL.B - admitted as a solicitor in April 1975. Tim is Deputy Coroner for Worcestershire and a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel. He heads our Personal Injury Department and also has considerable experience in a number of areas of contentious and non-contentious work.

Gurdip Brring LL.B - admitted as a solicitor in March 1994 and a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel. Gurdip is head of our Matrimonial and Family Law Department.

Helen Elliott - Helen is a Conveyancing Executive who undertakes all types of residential conveyancing work and has over 15 years experience.
